Dr. Yizhar Hess, the vice chairman of the World Zionist Organization, visited JTS this week. He spoke of the vital role the WZO can play in strengthening Israel as a Jewish, democratic state, and urged students to stay engaged and push for their vision of Zionism.

JTS Associate Professor Jonathan Milgram, on sabbatical for the 2021-2022 academic year, visited Rabbinical School students in Jerusalem who were in his Zoom class last year. This was the first time they all met in person.

ARTS FELLOW DEVELOPS PROJECT AT JTS
As part of her fellowship with “The Workshop,” writer and performing artist Rebecca S’manga Frank is spending a week in residence at JTS as she furthers the development of her upcoming project, “The Non Monog-ologues.” JTS’s Hendel Center for Ethics and Justice is a lead sponsor of the fellowship program.
